Here’s a preview of Doctor Who 15, in stores today!
I just colored up a few Hulk pages for my next sample package. Click on the thumbnail to get a full view of each page :
Over the last week I’ve been putting together a new website for my wife’s comic strip, The Wonder Ferts. Its a weekly webcomic featuring the adventures of super powered ferrets. Its updated every Sunday night. If you like ferrets, super heroes, or just like things that are funny, come check it out and see if you like it.
Back in June I participated in my first panel discussion at HeroesCon 2011. I was joined by fellow colorists Laura Martin (Planetary, Astonishing X-Men), Rachelle Rosenberg (Captain America), Matt Wilson (Thor), Brian Reber (X-Men) and the whole thing was moderated by Adam Daughhetee of the Dollar Bin.
Now the “Color Me Talented” panel is available for you to listen to online. Go check it out!
Here are a few pics from the panel:
Next weekend I’ll be at HeroesCon. They’ve set me up with a table so if you’re going, come find me at table AA-208. I’ll have a ton of stuff to show and sell, so come by and check it out and at very least, say hello. I love hearing from people. Also, if I’ve talked to you on DeviantArt, Facebook, Twitter, etc. let me know who you are so I can make that connection.
This year will have something new for me. I’ll be participating in my first ever panel discussion. The other colorists on the panel are extremely talented so I’m quite humbled to be asked to join them. Here’s the description of the panel:
Color Me Talented
Saturday, June 4th 12:00 PM
Room 203A
Join Dollar Bin’s Adam Daughhetee as he sits down with Laura Martin (Planetary, Astonishing X-Men), Rachelle Rosenberg (Captain America), Charlie Kirchoff (Hellraiser, Doctor Who), Matt Wilson (Thor), Brian Reber (X-Men) discuss this integral aspect of comic art—the coloring.
Another thing that will be new for me this year is that I’ll be selling some sketch cards. In the past I occasionally get asked if I do sketches. Normally I don’t. This year I figured I’ll give it a try and sell some Dr. Who related sketch cards. I’ve come up with a simplified, cartoon styled way of drawing each Doctor. I’ll be selling them for $1 a piece or $10 for 11. I am slow with sketching, which is why I normally don’t do it, so I’m not sure how many I’ll be able to do. So come by and get them while they’re hot! Here are some preliminary drawings to give you an idea of what I’ll be doing with these:
